BIOGRAPHIE/BIOGRAPHY
Née à Sillery (Québec) en 1956. Elle vit et travaille à Lévis (Québec). Baccalauréat en arts visuels, Université Laval, Québec, Canada Diplôme d’études en dessin publicitaire, Sainte-Foy, Québec, Canada Elle grandit au sein d’une famille nombreuse où la liberté permet l’établissement des bases essentielles d’une créativité qui se manifeste dès son enfance. Le plaisir d’explorer cet environnement fertile constitue un terreau propice à l’épanouissement de son imaginaire. Durant les premières années suivant ses études en dessin publicitaire, elle intègre le marché du travail, Parallèlement, elle consacre ses temps libres à la création en arts visuels. C’est ainsi qu’elle parfait ses connaissances techniques et découvre, par le fait même, l’étendue des possibilités d’expression en dessin et peinture. Elle saisit toutes les occasions, ateliers techniques, séances de portraits et de modèles. En 1997, elle reçoit des offres pour enseigner les techniques de dessin et d’aquarelle. C’est une étape importante de son cheminement, partager ses connaissances lui demande de la discipline et développe son besoin de recherches, d’approfondir toujours ses connaissances. En 1999, elle prend une décision importante qui vise à lui permettre d’effectuer un grand changement dans sa vie professionnelle. Elle s’inscrit au baccalauréat en arts visuels à l’Université Laval. Ces 3 années d’études participent à lui donner une vision plus juste du travail de création tout en lui donnant l’opportunité d’acquérir des outils précieux pour son développement. Puis une première galerie d’art lui propose de présenter son travail et ce avant même la fin de ses études. En 1999 et en 2000, elle a la chance de faire partie de l’équipe du symposium de la nouvelle peinture à Baie Saint-Paul. Cette expérience est aussi significative dans son parcours, la relation étroite qui s’établie avec les artistes, les conférenciers et le public est, encore aujourd’hui, une source de motivation. En décembre 2001, elle complète son baccalauréat, et elle prend immédiatement la route. Elle traverse une partie des États-Unis pour finalement s’installer pour quelques mois en Arizona et en Californie. Ensuite elle remonte la côte jusqu’à Vancouver. Tout au long de ce séjour, elle peint, mais ce n’est qu’au retour qu’elle prend conscience des changements intervenus dans son travail de création. __________________
Born in Sillery ( Quebec) in 1956. She lives and works in Lévis,Quebec, Canada Bachelor of Arts degree, Laval University, Quebec, Canada Diploma in Commercial Art, Technical School, Quebec, Canada She grows within a large family where the freedom allows the establishment of the essential bases of a creativity which shows itself from its childhood. The pleasure to investigate this fertile environment establishes a compost convenient to the blooming of its imagination. During the first years following her studies in advertising drawing, she integrates the labour market. At the same time, she dedicates her spare time to the creation in visual arts. And so she completes her technical knowledge and discovers, by the fact, the area of the possibilities of expression in drawing and painting. She seizes all the occasions, the technical workshops, the sessions of portraits and models. In 1997, she receives offers to teach the techniques of drawing and water color. It is an important stage of its progress, to share its knowledge asks her the discipline and develops its need of searches to deepen always its knowledge. In 1999, she makes an important decision which aims at allowing her to make a big change in its professional life. She joins the program in visual arts at the University Laval. These 3 years of studies participate to give her a more just vision of the work of creation while giving to her the opportunity to acquire precious tools for her development. Then a first art gallery suggests her presenting its work and this before even the end of its studies. In 1999 and in 2000, she has the chance to be a part of the team of the Symposium of the New Painting in Baie-Saint-Paul. This experience is also significant in its course, the narrow relation which established with the artists, the speakers and the public is, even today, a source of motivation. In December, 2001, she obtain her diploma, and she(it) sets off at once. She crosses a part of the United States to settle down finally for some months in Arizona and in California. Then she goes back up the coast to Vancouver. Throughout this stay, she paints, but it is only on the way back that she becomes aware of changes which were made in her work of creation. From her arrival, she begins to present her paintings in several art galleries in Quebec and Ontario.
